Dream Big

It all starts with a dream.

After reading a few fascinating books, one thing I found common among all achievers is the word “DREAM”.

These books inspired me to share my views.

I realized dreamers are a select crowd. They have a unique way of envisioning things deeply enough, almost able to see them right before their very eyes.

Dreaming big and dreaming often provides us with a stage for growth and success.

If your dreams don’t scare you, then they’re not big enough.

Once you start dreaming big, it brings some great changes like

·        Excitement - It creates excitement and helps to set goals and improve the quality of your life

·        Change in focus - You challenge your old belief, you start noticing the bad habits that hold you back and deal with challenges better. When you fail, you recover quickly

·        Seeking inspiration – It propels you to go from apathy to possibility, and transforms the way your capabilities are perceived. One of the best sources is reading books that never go out of style. Self-improvement becomes a necessity.

Few of my favorite quotes on dreams

"No matter where you're from, your dreams are valid."—Lupita Nyong'o

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."—Eleanor Roosevelt

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."—Walt Disney.

"When you cease to dream, you cease to live."—Malcolm Forbes.

Detox your Mind

Detox of the mind is as necessary as detox of the body.

When was the last time you read a book, or a substantial magazine article?

Do your daily reading habits center around tweets, Facebook updates, or some information printed on your instant noodle packet?

If you’re one of countless people who don’t make a habit of reading regularly, you might be missing out many things.

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body”, this quote by Joseph Addison stands so true.

While reading we encounter many inspirational characters that enrich the brain with new thoughts, ideas, theories.

It also beautifully adds to elevating imagination, broadening perspectives and enriching the vocabulary.

It challenges our way of thinking, show us there is more, take us far beyond our knowledge and quite often bring transformation in our personality.

Reading has a significant number of benefits. Find your own reason and start reading.

7 Keys to Tackle Negative Marking in Exam

Now days, most examinations are on objective pattern where you are to choose the appropriate option among the given answers. This can be a big pain for individuals who like to write long answers in examination believing; “the more you write, the more you score”. This cannot be a correct approach if you are planning to write one of these objective examination as most of them comes with negative marking. These questions just check your ability to find solution with whatever situation given in least amount of time. It does not consider how you reach to that answer.

Every year thousands of candidates apply for competitive exams, but few of them get selected. Applicants need to be aware of certain things before they attempt the exam which can help them to get success in the exam. It is important to minimize your negative marking while attempting the paper as it decreases your score and affect your score card a lot.

Candidates should keep following 7 key points in mind while attempting the paper:

1) The first & foremost thing is practice well and hence you won’t be prone to frequent mistakes.
2)  Read the questions and all its options carefully before jumping to conclusions and avoid blind guess work.

3) Solve the confident questions first.
4) Be calm and composed in the examination hall while answering or else you would mistake the known ones too.
5) Improve your speed beforehand by learning tricks rather than being panic at the last moment.
6) Do try to solve the left questions by eliminating wrong options.

7) Do not stick to a particular question or section if you are not able to solve it just switch to some other problem and try the left ones afterwards with some freshness in your brain.

Since the examination is divided into various sections, one may be asked to show a fair bit of competence in each section rather than showing excellence in any one particular section. Keep that in mind as well.

All the best

Free time is priceless !

To have a big impact in the professional world, it's important to know how we spend our free time.

We have heard often “time is money”. Free time, if used wisely can generate knowledge that can help anyone to be more skillful and productive in their work.

Many people have a really good excuse for not utilizing their free time by saying they don’t have the time. If you really believe it then no one can help you.

The Corona virus is giving people a lot more time. Most of us are quarantined. We can be upset, or we can see this as a life-changing opportunity to learn any skill? Or develop some good habits.

The knowledge which ones gather over time could take care of you and gives you a powerful edge over others.

Consider taking this time as an opportunity to get smarter. "Knowledge is new money".

Successful people tend to utilize their free time in many ways; few of them are listed below:

    1. Exercise- Regular exercise helps you to become disciplined and reduce the long term effects of stress. It also makes you look and feel better which ultimately gives a boost to your confidence.

    2. Reading- Successful people never stops reading and learning. It is said leaders are readers and readers are leaders. Read some inspiring biographies of famous personalities around the world or even some fiction novel. Reading helps you to know new characters, environments, culture, philosophies, ideas and many more. It also helps you to build new skills. Reading is a lifelong skill.

    3. Family relationship- Learn to utilize your free time to connect with people and your loved ones. Create a bond with your friends and loved ones especially considering the social networking era. To be successful in life, learn to prioritize your personal relationships.

4. Take up new courses- Learning should not stop at college, and shouldn’t be restricted to institutions. Most successful people across the globe are committed to never stop learning. There are many online certification and free courses available to incorporate new skills to add up in your resumes.

    5. Hobbies- Hobbies really helps a great deal to get relieved from stress and acts like a fresh breath of air. With your job perspective, develop certain habits and skills that complement your work later. Many are active on social media which offers great networking opportunities.

TIME IS MONEY, INVEST IT WISELY.
